Newcastle leadworks June 2012

I know that this place is in pretty bad condition and it was coverd alot on the last forum but as there is nothing about it on this forum I might aswell make my first report on it.
I don't know anything about the history of this site, all I know is that it is the remains of an old leadworking factory, there are only two buildings left standing and they have been heavily vandalised.

When was this place actually in an 'decent condition'?

Most likely when there was more than two "buildings" standing.

I wandered through this place once on my way to Leslie terrace . The amount of bagheads out sunning themselves made it look like something out of a zombie film .

Ah a bit of a trip down memory lane. Went here last summer - you can get down those dodgy around-the-corner wooden stairs but its a bit tricky and dangerous - not too much down there so you didnt miss much. Thanks for sharing matey.

Aye we have been down ages ago, and you're right theres nothing there, well there probably is but it's under water lol

it's good to see updates on these places, but i think it's fair to say that a demo crew will not be needed on this place lol lol

It does seem to be knocking itself down. How it can even get to be a worse condition seems impossible.

I first went in here about 7 years ago it wasnt too good then just sorry i didnt get a closer look before the main factory buildings were all demoed.
